Taxonomy

Palaeozygopleura was named by Horný (1955) [Sepkoski's age data: D Sieg-u C Mosc-u Sepkoski's reference number: 362,797,1258].

It was assigned to Neotaenioglossa by Sepkoski (2002); to Loxonematidae by Heidelberger and Koch (2005); and to Palaeozygopleuridae by Horný (1955), Bouchet et al. (2005), Fryda et al. (2013) and Ketwetsuriya et al. (2020).
